Chimneys of Cadaqu\u00e9s*<\/sup><\/h2>\n

These white, pyramid-shaped<\/p>\n

chimneys are families,<\/p>\n

which the roofs reflect across the town,<\/p>\n

while smoke spirals into the night sky<\/p>\n

and disperses in the breeze<\/p>\n

that blows from the Mediterranean Sea.<\/p>\n

Often, while out-racing<\/p>\n

a heavily flung winter storm,<\/p>\n

the fishermen on their boats<\/p>\n

can see, from a great distance,<\/p>\n

the safety of twilight chimneys,<\/p>\n

as they hurry back to port.<\/p>\n

The triangular heads<\/p>\n

and sloping shoulders<\/p>\n

seem to huddle together,<\/p>\n

elbow to elbow in the cold,<\/p>\n

wearing wooly hats<\/p>\n

and smoking.<\/p>\n
