Study Abroad Teaching English with TEFL and Spanish (One year Visa Program)

If your goal is to earn a TEFL Certificate and live in Madrid, Spain on a one year student visa and teach English with Canterbury English, while studying Spanish at our Garcia Lorca Spanish School, then this is the program for you!

PROGRAM COST AND DETAILS

  • PROGRAM COST:  2600 Euros

  • Program Cost Details: 2985€ (paid before the course starts)
  •                                         – 385€ (approx. student teaching refund after you finish the TEFL)
  •                                      = 2600€ (price you pay for your TEFL & Spanish Certificates)

Note: You are paid approximately 385€ for your PAID STUDENT TEACHING that takes place during the TEFL course and which usually finishes a week or two afterwards (No other TEFL program pays you for student teaching abroad).

  • TEACHING ABROAD GENERAL DETAILS
  • When you arrive in Madrid, you begin the four week Canterbury English intensive TEFL certification program (see program details in TEFL a weeks), in which as the days go by, you will begin to grow wings as a future English teacher. On the third or fourth week of the course, you will start to fly, as we give you real English classes to teach with OUR CLIENTS, earning A WAGE!! With the invaluable tools we give you during the course, we trust you with our companies, adults and children and we know you will excell! If you wish, you can continue teaching abroad these clients for the rest of the school year.

  • After you have completed the four week TEFL program, you begin nine months of Spanish classes, combined with Spanish cultural workshops at our Garcia Lorca Spanish School. This, along with our small study groups, will help you make rapid progress in the idiom, because living in a country, immersed in its culture and surrounded by its language, as well as studying it, is the fastest way on Earth to become fluent. Becoming fluent in Spanish will be a golden feather to wear in your cap for the rest of your life! And get tefl jobs abroad.

  • Because our Spanish school is located together with our English teaching academy, you are on-site every day and this makes it much easier for you (and for us) to receive more paid work to fill out your English class schedule. You receive the daily offers on your cell phone during your Spanish class and pop upstairs as soon as the class is finished to grab the offer that fits best into your schedule! It’s easy teaching overseas.

Your One Year Work and Study Visa

  • The Canterbury English Study Abroad TEFL and Spanish Program includes a student visa that allows us to give you up to a maximum of twenty hours a week of work, at a pay rate of between 16 and 20 Euros an hour. This means that you will be earning enough money to support yourself in Madrid, as well as having the time to study and excel in becoming fluent in the Spanish language.

  • UNBELIEVABLE OFFER: If you wish to stay in Spain after one year, Canterbury English will allow you to do a second year of the 9 month Spanish program for free and provide a letter and our credentials so that you can renew your student visa for another year FOR FREE (Nobody else will do this). Come and teaching abroad!

  • Why do we do this? Because after one year of working-teaching-abroad with us, you have paid your dues, and you are REAL family to us. We have developped a friendship and REAL friends help other friends out when they need help. And if you become an expatriot and become hooked on Spain, like us at Canterbury English, then you might just want to stay. And if you do, just say the word, and that means we will allow you to do our year Spanish course for free and we will renew your student visa for free. THAT’S WHAT REAL FRIENDS ARE FOR!

  • I am someone who has become a professional English teacher with Canterbury English and I look on this as a full time career. No doubt about it, there are unfortunately other less than reputable schools and TEFL courses out there who are all too happy to take your money, farm you out to fend for yourself, as well as leaving you unprepared for the realities of teaching.
